Suncoast Retreat is a 58 bed facility that offers its residents bright and cheerful surroundings staffed with competent and caring staff.We have ample day rooms, activity rooms and shaded picnic space.

For accommodations there are three different private room configurations and three different types of semi-private rooms.

New Port Richey is a coastal community located 20 miles north of Clearwater in the Tampa Bay area. It is a 30 minute drive to Tampa and Tampa International Airport.

Suncoast Retreat is a fifty-eight bed facility with an ECC (extended congregate care) license. This allows us to care for individuals that may have needs which are beyond what a standard licensed facility can accommodate.

Our staff is on hand 24 hours daily and are all certified per Department of Elder Affairs regulations. They assist residents in areas such as dressing, bathing, eating, medications and toileting. We also assist in making, and then getting to and from, all necessary appointments. We make sure that all medication is ordered and on hand as needed.

There is an on-site Wellness Center staffed by a licensed nurse to help with any medical interventions or to review medications and answer questions. The nurse sits in Monday through Friday and is on-call 24 hours daily.

Additionally, Suncoast Retreat partners with Gulfside Regional Hospice for
residents who would benefit from their services if appropriate. This allows
aging in place without the need to move to a different setting

The activities director, Kay Scott, will engage the residents in exercise
programs, games, shopping trips and personal appointment trips. She also
arranges birthday parties and holiday decorating which residents are
encouraged to participate in. Kay is a Certified Nursing Assistant, a guitarist
and an accomplished vocalist to help bring out the Pavorotti in all of us!

Our benefits coordinator is available to walk new residents through the
maze of state and private programs available to help defray the cost of care
here at Suncoast Retreat. Many residents are unaware of what they may be
entitled to and how th access it. We will not only assess your situation but
we will advise you and do much of the tedious paper work!

The menu at the retreat is prepared by a licensed nutritionist and is
supplemented by snacks and drinks on demand between meals. We will
accommodate some special diets such as low sodium, diabetic, renal and
mechanically soft.

All laundry and housekeeping is included in the monthly cost of care. These
are done on a daily basis. We'll even hang up and put all your clothes away so
that you can relax!
